Gerard Gallagher One of my musical heroes who I count among my friends. A meisterwerk by Mr Pepler. He manages to bring together his older sounds, where he is and where he's going and fuse them into one almighty sound... I love it. It's BRILLIANT!!! Favorite track: In All Worlds.

WaynE In All Worlds....Awesome! The blend of deep hypnotic sounds and Roberts voice is amazing, Merv is without doubt a pioneer of the hypnotic groove, many thanks.

Aaron Ether I've been a fan of Merv Pepler since Ozric Tentacles. The man has always had a knack for synthesizing ear candy. The sci-fi element almost plays out like a concept album on this recording. The kind of album that you listen to front to back. Epic electronic music! Great production with a 1970's space rock flare! Favorite track: Dead Planet.
Bård Fosse

Bård Fosse Oldschool Acid :) and so much more here. Favorite track: Irritant.

Mystery Selector Great album - possibly Eat Static's best yet, which is saying something given the body of work from this pioneering artist over the last 20+ years. A real variety of sounds that all manage to still have that distinctive Eat Static sound; from psytrance, techno and drum'n'bass to psy-dub and ambient. Well worth a tenner for these 24 tracks! Favorite track: Dead Planet.

about

2015 sees founder member Merv Pepler release a brand new anniversary double album, featuring special guest slots from the legendary Robert Smith (The Cure), Steve Hillage (Gong), Laughing Buddha and a host of other new and established dance artists.

Eat static return with the first new studio album since 2008..with a 26 year long history behind them, this, their anniversary album, see's a return to their trade mark 'analogue experimental sound' which they pioneered in the early days of the raves.The band have been experimenting with modular synthesis and ditching all the modern computer generated 'VSTs'..wired for sound!!

It features 2 x CDs, CD1 being more uptempo and dancey while CD2 explores alternative experimental downtempo textures..all with their alien tinged humour and zest..another coup this time was to get Robert Smith from ‘The Cure' to add his distinctive vocals to the track ‘In all Worlds' and a host of other collaborations also make this their most colorful and 'static sounding' album to date.

As with all static albums, this is impossible to define to any existing genres as Merv always goes out of his way to do the opposite to what everyone else is doing.This was a statement to bring some value back to 'an album' and show that electronic music can still have 'a soul'..

Experimentation= progress!!
